Education Background

In June 2016, Jindong Ren received his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2015.08-2016.04, he studied in the Department of Physics, University of Pittsburgh as an exchange scholar; In 2016.07-2017.08, he worked as a postdoc in the Laboratory of Ultrafast Dynamics in University of Pittsburgh. His research areas are studying the effect of dipole charge transfer on the surface nanostructure by STM and learning the interface state of metal interfaces by time-resolved two-photon electron spectroscopy; In 2017.10-2021.08, he worked as postdoctoral research in the Department of Physics, University of Münster, Germany. The research area is the construction of nano-quantum structures by surface chemical reactions, the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, the characterization of functional organic molecular structures. Starting from September 2021, he joined the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, mainly engaged in the preparation and characterization of low-dimensional nano-photoelectric functional materials and devices. Relevant research results have been published in journals like Phys. Rev. Lett., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nano Lett., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and so on.

Research areas

Surface chemical reaction to construct nano-quantum structure, synthesis and physical property of nano-materials, characterization/physical property measurements of the functional organic molecular structures.
