On October 16, the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology held an announcement meeting on the adjustment of the leadership of the Center. Yang Ma, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Beijing Branch, Weifeng Dong, Deputy Director of the Personnel Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jicheng Gao, Deputy Director of the Leading Cadre Division of the Personnel Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lingbo Wei, a cadre of the Leading Cadre Division of the Beijing Branch, and others attended the meeting, which was chaired by Yang Ma. More than 100 leading members of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology and the Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Systems, Chinese Academy of Sciences, members of the Nanoscience Center Party Committee, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, heads of various departments and research management backbone attended the meeting.

    Deputy Director Weifeng Dong read out the Notice of the Party Leadership Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on the Appointment and Removal of Yuhua Tang and Honghai Liu (KFDangRen Zi [2015] No. 65). According to the relevant provisions and requirements of the Central Committee and our institute on the tenure of leading cadres, after research, it is decided that Yuhua Tang will be the Deputy Secretary (presiding over the work) of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection; Honghai Liu was removed from the post of Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (retaining the bureau level treatment).

      Yang Ma, on behalf of the CPC Leading Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, issued a certificate of honor to Honghai Liu for his important contributions to the development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology during his tenure as the institute (bureau) level leader. In his speech, Yang Ma affirmed the development of various undertakings of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, spoke highly of Comrade Honghai Liu's outstanding contributions during his tenure as the Secretary of the Party Committee, and, on behalf of the Party Leadership Group of the Academy, expressed high respect and heartfelt thanks to Comrade Honghai Liu for his contributions to the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in recent years!

      Later, Yang Ma introduced Yuhua Tang's work and learning experience, emphasized the original intention of the establishment of the Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Systems, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and hoped that the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology would better play its corporate regulatory role, strengthen overall planning, and avoid homogeneous competition. At the same time, we hope that Yuhua Tang will further strengthen the study of Party affairs and assist the leading group members of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology to develop and build the Party affairs of the Center.

 In his speech, Honghai Liu thanked the CPC Leading Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for its strong support for the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology and its own work over the years, the understanding and strong support of the staff of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, and the tolerance and strong support of the institute's leadership and all the staff of the Center. He said that the four years of working in the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology had been a very happy, comfortable and refreshing day in his working life, and this life experience was also very satisfying for him. Finally, he said that he expected Deputy Secretary Yuhua Tang to make new efforts in his work. He would continue to care about and support the development and construction of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, support all the work of the leadership of the Center, and do his best to make due contributions to the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology.

In his speech, Deputy Secretary Yuhua Tang thanked the CPC Leading Group and leaders of the Academy for their trust, Honghai Liu for his hard work for the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology over the years, and the staff of the Institute for their support and trust. He said that 2015 was the year of the launch of the 13th Five Year Plan and the key year for the breakthrough of the "Take the lead in action" plan. He deeply felt that the work was arduous and the responsibility was great. In his future work, he will change his role as soon as possible, fulfill his post responsibilities and obligations, study hard, do a good job in research, unite the team members and all staff of the Institute, do his best to provide services and logistical support for scientific researchers, and contribute to building a world-class the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology.

Director Minghua Liu thanked the CPC Leading Group and the Personnel Bureau for their support to the work of the Center, and welcomed Yuhua Tang's participation. He said that during the "13th Five Year Plan" period, the Center will closely integrate with Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, give full play to its advantages, and make the discipline layout more reasonable. The participation of Yuhua Tang will give full play to the role of bridge and link and promote closer cooperation between them.

Director Minghua Liu reviewed the close cooperation with Liu Honghai in many important work in recent years, and expressed his thanks to Honghai Liu for his important contributions to the center. It is hoped that the leadership of the Center will unite to realize the dream of building the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology into a world-class scientific research institution at an early date.
